IBA Processing in Australia

In Australia, the market for energy recovery from waste has just begun with the construction of the first Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facility in Western Australia. energy recovery is an effective way to manage waste and provide baseload power. We believe we can contribute to the development of the EfW industry as our work prevents landfilling of the incinerated bottom ash, and reduces the negative impacts from the extraction of virgin raw materials by producing a manufactured aggregate that contributes to the circular economy.

How we do it

We bring our experience and knowledge on IBA processing to Australia. We will ensure the appropriate use of the manufactured aggregates and conduct thorough risk assessments to reduce the environmental risks before using IBAA in any construction work. We now help build a sustainable future in a new continent.

In 2021, we started building the new incinerator bottom ash (IBA) treatment plant in Australia. We have commenced construction of the facility, civil works will be completed in the third quarter of 2021, and the installation of our technology will begin after. The first facility of its kind in Australia’s history will be commissioned in early 2022 and process ash shortly afterwards. See the video below to look at our progress.
